Who is Loui Milo?

My love for chocolate, pastry, and desserts comes from my mother and grand-mother, of Hungarian descent, who were always baking treats when I was a child. My passion for chocolate is intense and I am always searching for the finest and most unique chocolates in every city to which I travel.

My journey began at a small pastry shoppe on Madison Avenue in NYC. I learned fast, and quickly became a key player of the pastry cook team. My formal training began under master pastry chef Albert Kumin, the former executive pastry chef for the likes of: Windows on the World, The Four Seasons, The Palm restaurants in New York City, and The White House in Washington, D.C. I attended his pastry school and received a Grande Diploma in pastry, chocolate, and confections from The International Pastry Arts Center, Elmsford, NY.

I established my footing in NYC as the pastry chef for the Waldorf Astoria in 1990. After some time, I moved on to be the first pastry chef at the famous Cafe Society Restaurant and Club creating many amazing new plated desserts that gained much attention. From there I went on to become the pastry chef for the equally famous Remi, NYC. After a hiatus from the kitchen I have returned to create a truly unique line of chocolates and desserts using the finest ingredients, imported chocolate, and innovative ideas.
